Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join an international product development team working on building disruptive technology in the IoT space. As part of team, you’ll design and implement scalable management systems, solve complex problems, and shape the future of IoT through innovative software solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience;
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot;
• Hands-on experience with Apache Flink, Apache Spark, or similar technologies;
• Experience with Apache Kafka or another event-streaming platform;
• Experience with cloud-based microservices;
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases;
• Understanding of distributed systems and data-intensive architectures;
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring;
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience;
• English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Would be a plus

• Experience with Apache Iceberg;
• Knowledge of Data Lake or Lakehouse architecture;
• Experience with multi-cloud and multi-tenant systems;
• Experience with high-availability and high-throughput systems;
• Background in IoT, telecommunications, logistics, or data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and data pipelines;
• Build reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions;
• Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot;
• Work with Kafka, Flink, Spark, and related technologies;
• Contribute to architecture and technical design;
• Participate in coding, testing, integration, deployment, and monitoring;
• Troubleshoot and improve production systems;
• Take ownership of solutions from design to production support.
