Our client is a well-established luxury tour operator specializing in highly customized,
experiential travel. The company is known for delivering exceptional, tailor-made
journeys for discerning U.S. travelers and works closely with a trusted network of
premium lodges, camps, and destination partners across Asia + South Pacific. This is a
fully remote opportunity within an international, high-performance custom travel team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize, design, and refine new and existing small group and bespoke
    tailor-made itineraries for Asia and the South Pacific region.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, managing and maintaining ongoing
    relations with camps, hotels, and ground operators to ensure excellent service
    and optimal contract rates.
  • Implement programs in-house, ensuring all contract details, inventory, and
    operational logistics are systemically and accurately reflected to deliver flawless
    service.
  • Price tour programs and manage in-house costing, utilizing a solid mastery of
    Excel, formula creation, and tables to oversee cost controls and pricing
    adjustments.
  • Manage seasonal product reviews, including the review, revision, and creation of
    copy to meet brochure and web deadlines.
  • Partner with product marketing and internal teams to implement and launch new
    programs online on an ongoing basis to ensure the product remains broad and
    fresh.
  • Conduct frequent market and competitive analysis across designated regions to
    trigger creative new travel programs and stay updated on the tour and FIT
    landscape.
  • Provide daily product support and conduct seasonal training for internal staff to
    ensure destination expertise and fluency with a goal to help close sales.
  • Coordinate directly with Operations to ensure accurate and timely supplier
    communications, including passenger manifests, cancellation penalties, and tour
    status updates.
  • Lead customer service resolution and on-tour problem solving, collaborating with
  • Concierge and Operations teams to handle pre-, on-, and post-tour service issues
    (including those outside normal working hours or weekends).
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of product development experience in U.S. leisure travel, with
    a strong familiarity with complex Asia and South Pacific tour programs.
  • Extensive product knowledge and proven expertise in designing travel itineraries
    and negotiating contract rates and terms within the designated regions.
  • Clear understanding of the upscale American traveler and the premium service
    levels required to satisfy this discerning clientele.
  • Proven negotiation and strong analytical acumen, combined with a meticulous
    attention to detail.
  • Solid technical mastery of Excel, including formula creation and data tables.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English (both verbal and
    written), with an articulate, positive, and helpful tone.
  • Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to establish priorities,
    manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently in a remote
    environment.
  • Proactive, flexible mindset with an appropriate sense of urgency, and a
    commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline or related field preferred.
