We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, bookings, passenger growth, and profitability across both B2C and B2B channels.

This role owns the full marketing function for a small, established travel organization and oversees a broad portfolio of tour operator marketing and public relations initiatives across digital, traditional, and co-op partner marketing. The Marketing Manager works closely with leadership, sales, and the contact center to convert demand into revenue and ensure marketing efforts align with broader commercial objectives.

This position is ideal for a self-starter who can work independently, reorganize the marketing function, and operate effectively as a “department of one” while delivering measurable year-over-year growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day marketing activities to drive bookings, yield, passenger volume, and overall revenue growth
  • Partner with leadership to define campaigns, promotions, offers, messaging, and tactical plans, ensuring all initiatives are tracked and evaluated
  • Plan, manage, and maintain the annual and ongoing marketing calendar
  • Own end-to-end campaign execution across digital, email, social, paid media, website, content, creative, print, brochures/e-brochures, and promotional offers
  • Oversee lead-generation initiatives, customer segmentation, targeting, and conversion optimization
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting, using insights to continuously optimize campaigns
  • Conduct competitive analysis and monitor market and customer trends, sharing insights with leadership and commercial teams
  • Recommend and manage investments in external agencies, partners, and marketing technologies
  • Ensure consistent, compelling, and authentic brand positioning across all channels
  • Maintain strong alignment with internal stakeholders to leverage the best available insights and capabilities
Marketing Channels & Activities
  • Digital marketing: paid search, display, retargeting, affiliate marketing, mobile and social advertising, SEO/GEO, emerging media
  • Website content, merchandising, and optimization
  • Email marketing and CRM programs
  • Social media strategy and execution
  • Co-op and partner marketing programs
  • Direct mail, print brochures, and e-brochures
  • Public relations and promotional initiatives
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
  • Work closely with sales, contact center, and custom travel teams to convert demand into revenue
  • Partner with product planning, pricing, operations, and finance to align marketing with commercial goals
  • Collaborate with product and operations teams to understand product features, benefits, and value propositions
  • Represent the voice of the customer by monitoring preferences, behaviors, and trends
  • Support consortia, trade, agency partner, and destination marketing organization (DMO) initiatives, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution of co-op marketing efforts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience in escorted/guided tours, multi-day travel, cruises, FIT products, or comparable travel segments
  • Experience leading marketing for a U.S.-based travel company or serving as a senior marketing leader ready to step into a top role
  • Proven experience managing both B2C and B2B marketing simultaneously (direct-to-consumer and travel advisor/partner channels)
  • Strong expertise in lead generation, conversion optimization, customer segmentation, and targeting
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills
    Proven ability to build and execute marketing strategies from the ground up
  • Experience managing complex schedules and multiple marketing channels concurrently
  • Strong copywriting skills across digital and print media
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, email automation platforms, social media tools, analytics, and marketing technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite and Office 365
    Creative, detail-oriented, highly organized, and results-driven with strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with a distributed team
