Our client is a well-established luxury tour operator specializing in highly customized, experiential travel. The company is known for delivering exceptional, tailor-made journeys for discerning U.S. travelers and works closely with a trusted network of premium lodges, camps, and destination partners across Africa. This is a fully remote opportunity within an international, high-performance custom travel team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage inbound inquiries for luxury Africa travel, primarily from U.S.-based clients, via phone, email, and video consultations.
  • Own the full sales and booking lifecycle, from lead qualification and expert consultation to itinerary design, pricing, and closing.
  • Design and cost bespoke FIT and small group safari itineraries across East and Southern Africa, aligned with client preferences and expectations.
  • Research destinations, accommodations, logistics, and exclusive experiences to create compelling, personalized proposals.
  • Accurately price itineraries using contracted supplier rates, while managing exchange rates and multi-currency calculations.
  • Oversee bookings from initial quote through post-travel follow-up, ensuring all deadlines, documentation, and payments are met.
  • Prepare high-quality client-facing proposals and final travel documents.
  • Maintain strong relationships with camps, lodges, ground operators, and third-party service providers.
  • Act as an advocate for clients in the event of itinerary changes, disruptions, or emergencies.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support the ongoing development of the custom travel product.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in international luxury leisure travel, with a strong focus on Africa.
  • Proven expertise in designing and selling tailor-made luxury safari itineraries in East and Southern Africa.
  • Deep knowledge of high-end African camps, lodges, and specialty accommodations.
  • Strong sales mindset with demonstrated ability to convert inquiries into bookings.
  • Experience managing complex itineraries, pricing, and bookings with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with U.S.-based clients.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a broader team.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
